Import & export

Your backlog in — txt, md, docx, PDF, split into poems automatically. Your book out — EPUB, chapbook PDF, plain text.

Import the backlog

File → Import Poems… takes .txt, .md, .docx and .pdf files. One file with many poems is split into many poems — lines and stanzas kept — and lands as a collection on the shelf. Your old files stay untouched; Rhema copies what it needs.

Novels and screenplays import too (Import Manuscripts…, Fountain and Final Draft for scripts), with chapters and scene breaks detected.

Export the book

Right-click a collection on the shelf → Export:

  • EPUB (.epub) — for readers and stores
  • Chapbook PDF (5×8)… — a real printed booklet (see printing a chapbook)
  • Word, PDF, HTML, markdown, plain text — the full NEO export machinery

Poem drawings and QR codes ride along into the exports and the print. Everything lands in your Exports folder as plain files.

Email Draft to Myself (⌘E / Ctrl+E)

A timestamped PDF of the book, emailed to you with a SHA-256 fingerprint — a dated, provable copy of exactly what you have today.

Next: printing a chapbook.
