Short, exact guides to Rhema — install, write, sequence, print. Each one takes minutes and shows real screens.
Fourteen guides, each a few minutes long. They follow the same order as the app: get it running, write a poem, keep the collection in shape, move words in and out, print the book, set the machine up around you — then go deeper: local AI, the Reader’s Eye, covers, the workshop views, your library, and staying backed up.
Getting started
Install Rhema, open your first book, write your first poem — ten minutes, start to finish.
Writing poems
Line surgery with full undo: move, duplicate, join, split, indent — and the outline cards that keep a collection in shape.
Languages
The interface language and each book's languages are different things. Rhema keeps them apart — and spellcheck honours every one.
Import & export
Your backlog in — txt, md, docx, PDF, split into poems automatically. Your book out — EPUB, chapbook PDF, plain text.
Printing a chapbook
Rhema's own 5×8 booklet PDF: sequence the poems, check the marks, and send it to any print shop.
Settings & snapshots
Darlings, daily snapshots, Then/Now compare, backups with retention you choose, and the local AI endpoints.
Local AI setup
Point Rhema at a language model that lives on your own machine — the settings pane, the Test button, and what each field means.
Reader's Eye & poem AI
A second pair of eyes for a finished poem: observations in the notes, title suggestions, drawings — and the poem itself is never touched.
Cover art
Every book gets a cover on the shelf: a seeded abstract, your own image, or a painting from the text — on your own machine.
Scraps, outline & compare
The three workshop views around the manuscript: a drawer for cut lines, a wall of poem cards, and Then beside Now.
Poem marks & QR codes
The colophon at the end of each printed poem — and the QR inside it, carrying whatever you choose.
Shelves & pen names
Your library is furniture you arrange: shelves, pen names with their own shelves, and a library folder that stays yours.
The writing environment
Focus mode, typewriter scrolling, page themes, vim keys, interface size — the room you write in, adjustable to the hour.
Backups & updates
Autosave, daily backups with retention you choose, snapshots that never expire, and how Rhema tells you it is current.
