Rhema for Linux, Windows and macOS — free, open source, no account. Binaries live on GitHub Releases.

Rhema v1.5.9 is one download away. Everything is free and open source; there is no account, no subscription, and nothing ever leaves your machine. Rhema is alpha software, shared as-is with no liability — built for one working poet first; expect rough edges and keep your own backups.

Linux

Download the AppImage for your architecture:

Make it executable and run:

chmod +x Rhema-*.AppImage
./Rhema-*.AppImage

If the AppImage complains about a sandbox (common on Ubuntu 24.04 and newer), run it as ./Rhema-*.AppImage --no-sandbox. If it refuses to start at all, check that fuse2/libfuse2 is installed on your distro.

Windows

macOS

The macOS builds are unsigned for now: the Developer ID signing and notarization pipeline is built and working, but Apple’s notarization is currently held up on Apple’s side — the Mac version is delayed by Apple, not by us. Until it clears, Gatekeeper will warn on first launch: open Rhema with right-click → Open once; after that it launches normally.

Your words

Your library lives in ~/Documents/Rhema Library — one folder per book, poems as readable HTML files. File → Library Folder… moves it anywhere. If Rhema disappeared tomorrow, every word you wrote would still be there.

New here? The getting started guide walks install → first book → first poem; the local AI guide sets up the model endpoints.

All versions & updates

Every build ever published is on the Releases page — grab the new AppImage/installer when a version lands.
